Recently, I was devastated to hear that my grandfather on my dad's side was diagnosed with cancer in his liver. Just weeks later, I learned that my grandfather on my mom's side had begun to develop symptoms of Alzheimer's. I realized that much about my grandparents' lives still remained a mystery to me, and I wanted to hear their stories before it was too late. Last year, I interviewed a 77-year-old chess Grandmaster who shared stories of his proudest achievements and gave me invaluable life advice. I decided to interview my grandparents and others of their generation to learn about their proudest moments and what life lessons they wanted to pass on. I've gotten so much out of hearing their stories. I hope you will, too.
